Recipe: BBQ Chicken Hawaiian Pizza
The Price Chopper Facebook coupons are all about making your own pizza this week. Now, I don't know about you, but pizza night is huge in my house! Plus, I always love coming up with new and creative pizza ideas.
This is one of my favorite pizza recipes because it combines 2 of my favorite kinds of pizza: Barbecue Chicken and Hawaiian Pizzas.
Ingredients
- Pizza dough
- flour for dusting pizza pan
- 1/2 - 3/4 cup barbecue sauce (your choice, we prefer Kraft Original for it's mild taste)
- 1 cup chopped chicken thighs already cooked
- 3 slices cooked bacon crumbled
- 1/4 cup pineapple chunks (chopped into smaller pieces if desired)
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 3/4 cup smoked gouda cheese, shredded
- 3/4 cup fresh Parmesan cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Spray cooking spray on your pizza pan and dust the pan lightly with flour. Roll out pizza dough and place on the pizza pan.
- Bake pizza crust for 6 or 7 minutes - until it begins to firm up. (We like out crust crispy in our house)
- Remove crust from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
- Once crust has cooled, brush with the barbecue sauce. Top with cooked chicken, bacon crumbles, red onion, mozzarella cheese, Gouda cheese, Parmesan and pineapple chunks.
- Place pizza back in oven for 12 - 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
