Recipe: BBQ Chicken Hawaiian Pizza

The Price Chopper Facebook coupons are all about making your own pizza this week. Now, I don't know about you, but pizza night is huge in my house! Plus, I always love coming up with new and creative pizza ideas.

This is one of my favorite pizza recipes because it combines 2 of my favorite kinds of pizza: Barbecue Chicken and Hawaiian Pizzas.

Ingredients
  • Pizza dough
  • flour for dusting pizza pan
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup barbecue sauce (your choice, we prefer Kraft Original for it's mild taste)
  • 1 cup chopped chicken thighs already cooked
  • 3 slices cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1/4 cup pineapple chunks (chopped into smaller pieces if desired)
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 3/4 cup smoked gouda cheese, shredded
  • 3/4 cup fresh Parmesan cheese, shredded
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Spray cooking spray on your pizza pan and dust the pan lightly with flour. Roll out pizza dough and place on the pizza pan.
  3. Bake pizza crust for 6 or 7 minutes - until it begins to firm up. (We like out crust crispy in our house)
  4. Remove crust from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Once crust has cooled, brush with the barbecue sauce. Top with cooked chicken, bacon crumbles, red onion, mozzarella cheese, Gouda cheese, Parmesan and pineapple chunks.
  6. Place pizza back in oven for 12 - 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
