Hannaford Helps Fight Hunger

I am always more than happy to write about the ways local stores give back to their community. Year after year, Hannaford hits the nail on the head with their Hannaford Helps Fight Hunger campaign. I love this campaign and in the 4.5 years I have lived in NY, I have made a donation each year because I truly believe that there should not be families in this country who do not have enough food to eat.

With all that said, I had a great phone conversation today with a fabulous woman from Hannaford's corporate office who shared with me an added incentive to making a donation during the Hannaford Helps Fight Hunger Campaign.

Right now when you make a donation to your regional food bank while you check out at a Hannaford register OR when you purchase a Helping Hands box, you will receive a booklet full of great Hannaford and manufacturer coupons.

So what are you waiting for? Donate a $10 Helping Hands box or make that $5 donation to your local food bank. And be sure to be on the lookout for the Buy 1 Give 1 Hannaford products (for every one you purchase, Hannaford donates one of the same item to your regional food bank).

I'm going to run over to Hannaford after work to make my donation and grab my coupon book. Once I have it I'll be sure to let all of you know what coupons you can look forward to when you make your donation.
